A Walk in Postlip: Discovering Espadrilles and More

Exploring the Hidden Gems of the Cotswolds

Nestled in the heart of the Cotswolds, Postlip is a charming village with stunning views and picturesque walks. On a recent visit, I stumbled upon a quaint little shop selling espadrilles – the perfect addition to my summer wardrobe. Made from traditional materials, these shoes are both stylish and comfortable, and I couldn't resist picking up a pair.

After my shopping spree, I decided to explore the surrounding area. The village is surrounded by rolling hills and lush green fields, and I spent hours wandering through the countryside, taking in the beauty of the landscape. As I walked, I came across a babbling brook and a hidden waterfall – two unexpected yet delightful discoveries.

As the day wore on, I found myself feeling peckish. Luckily, the local pub – The Rising Sun – was just a short walk away. I popped in for a bite to eat and was pleasantly surprised by the friendly service and delicious food. The menu featured local produce and ingredients, which gave the dishes a unique flavour. I particularly enjoyed the wild boar sausages – a true taste of the Cotswolds!

As the sun began to set, I made my way back to the village centre. The historic church – with its ancient stone walls and beautiful stained glass windows – caught my eye. I couldn't resist taking a closer look, and I spent some time exploring this hidden gem. The peace and quiet of the churchyard was a welcome respite from the hustle and bustle of modern life.

As I headed back to my car, I couldn't help but feel grateful for my day in Postlip. From the espadrilles to the stunning scenery and delicious food, this little village had captured my heart. I'll definitely be back – perhaps to explore more of the Cotswolds' hidden treasures.
